Mish Mash~~~

Temperatures in the single digits have forced me to allow the pups into the RV.... but I have to admit they have been just precious and well behaved during the stay. I hope they don't get to used to it!

It has been a LONG frigid week with little to no progress due to the temps BUT it will be warming a bit today and things are finally thawing out. Of course the rain followed the warmer weather but in a way it is a blessing for finishing up the outside masonry work and siding final touches. The crews started on the inside drywall and painting Thursday and are showing up this morning after the freezing rain from last night thaws. My new view from the far eastern end of the deck Entryway window view Side note~First on my to do when I move in? BUBBLE BATH!!! We here in the valley were greeted at rush hour with a nice batch of freezing rain. I ended up parking my truck at the bottom of my hill and walking home due to an accident about 50 yards from my driveway. I have had to do this a few times in my years of living out here... it beats trying to get up the steep hill and ending up over the cliff lol. It took about 3 hours for the emergency crews to clear the mess and get the traffic flowing again. It was a party in my driveway! thankfully the sanding trucks got here or I think people would have started setting up tents in the pasture! As soon as the sun comes up this morn I will don my boots and go get the truck. I am keeping good thoughts that no one hit my sweet ball of black metal.

Not today.... sigh

Well... the bits and pieces are now all here but-
so is the stormy wet, windy fucking weather.
It rained non-stop all night and the crews did show up and attempt to maneuver
the equipment to start placing said pieces.

It was a no-go. Houston we have a problem. Not only did the first cat get stuck.. it sunk part of the porch. So Tuesday they are coming back out with the big guns and possibly the big crane.
Good news is though that some of the kids decided to come watch! It was nice to have company part of the day and a crew to have biscuits and gravy with!
Cassidy liked having company too!
